About the Founder
Advita Singhvi is the founder of Dead Stock Exchange. A Grade 11 student, she is 16 years old and lives in Mumbai, where she has grown up seeing the city's landfills piling up with surplus fabric—much of it barely used or still in excellent condition, discarded simply because it never got sold.
Troubled by how much perfectly good material was going to waste, Advita started Dead Stock Exchange to give that fabric a second life: connecting surplus stock from manufacturers and sellers with designers, students, and makers who can put it to use, instead of letting it end up buried in a landfill.
What began as a way to solve a problem she saw around her own city is now a platform built to make sustainable sourcing easier for the fashion and textile community, one roll of fabric at a time.

We bridge the gap between industrial excess and creative potential by repurposing high-quality fabrics that would otherwise contribute to environmental degradation, providing a scalable solution for the global textile crisis.
Local Method
By working hand-in-hand with textile mills to recover premium leftovers, we create an accessible marketplace where independent brands can find luxury materials.
